A.R.T. (Active Reading Time) is a reading program intended to enhance comprehension and writing skills. Scholars will track their minutes read within their reading logs and demonstrate comprehension within their ART journals. 

 

About Reading Logs

Every Monday reading logs will be collected. Scholars are expected to AT LEAST read 15 minutes each day. This will be validated by a parent signature. The reading logs are worth 5% of scholars' grade. 

 

A.R.T. Journals 

Each month scholars' ART journal will be collected (Journals must be completed within a marble notebook). Scholars' journal must respond to a series of given prompts that month. Journals are considered a project grade worth 15% of scholars' grade.
